Dallas College Eastfield Campus is a public community college campus at 3737 Motley Drive in Mesquite, Texas, serving Mesquite, Garland, southeast Dallas County and surrounding communities since 1970. It is important to understand the institutional structure: Eastfield is not a separately accredited college. Until June 2020 it was Eastfield College, one of seven independently accredited colleges in the Dallas County Community College District. SACSCOC approved single-institution accreditation on June 12, 2020, and the district became Dallas College, with the seven former colleges repositioned as campuses. Every federal and institutional statistic on this page therefore describes the consolidated Dallas College (IPEDS UNITID 224615) as a whole, not the Eastfield campus alone. Dallas College publishes no campus-level enrollment, graduation, placement or salary figures for Eastfield. Tuition is set system-wide: $99 per credit hour for Dallas County residents, $169 out-of-county and $250 out-of-state. Eastfield's signature areas of study are Automotive Technology and Auto Body Technology, Digital Media Technology, Advanced Manufacturing and Mechatronics, and Social Work and Substance Abuse Counseling. The campus also delivers credit programs in welding, plumbing technology, air conditioning and refrigeration, electrical technology, machining, robotics and automation, networking and PC support. Health science programs, including the associate degree nursing program, are taught at other Dallas College locations rather than at Eastfield. Classes run day and evening across fall, spring and summer terms, with open enrollment admission.
