About Us

An independent directory built by a small editorial team

Trade Schools Review is operated by a three-person team in Atlanta, Georgia. We compile, verify, and publish information on accredited trade-school programs across the United States.

What we do

We maintain a directory of accredited and state-licensed trade-school programs in the United States — covering fifteen trades from HVAC and welding to medical assisting and cosmetology. For each school we publish program length, credential offered, tuition where available, accreditation status, and the contact information you need to apply directly.

We are not a recruiting agency. We do not sell student leads, and we don’t accept payment in exchange for editorial placement. Schools cannot pay to rank higher in our listings.

Our Editorial Team

Three people, working from Atlanta, on every page of this site.

MC

Megan Carter

Senior Education Content Writer

Megan covers college guides, career pathways, and student-focused articles. She translates Bureau of Labor Statistics data, accreditor records, and program details into plain-language explanations students can act on.

TB

Tyler Brooks

Research & Content Editor

Tyler leads fact-checking on every school profile. He verifies accreditation status, cross-references IPEDS completion data, and updates tuition and program details so listings stay current.

AB

Ashley Bennett

Student Resources Content Specialist

Ashley focuses on scholarships, financial aid, and practical advice for prospective students. She tracks state and federal aid programs and surfaces the funding options most relevant to trade-school students.

How we research schools

Every listing on Trade Schools Review starts with public, verifiable data from one of four sources:

IPEDS (NCES)

Federal data on every Title IV postsecondary institution, including programs, completions, and institutional characteristics.

State licensing boards

For trades like cosmetology, CDL, and barbering, we cross-reference state boards that license schools and graduates.

School websites

Tuition, program length, schedule options, and admission requirements are verified against each school’s official site.

Accreditor directories

ACCSC, COE, NACCAS, and regional accreditors confirm a school’s accreditation status.

For the full process — including how we choose which schools to feature, how often we update data, and what we do when sources disagree — see our Methodology page.

Editorial principles

Accuracy first

Every school listing is checked against at least one government or accreditor source before publication.

Plain language

We translate jargon — CIP codes, accreditation acronyms, FAFSA mechanics — into language students can act on.

No paid placement

Listings are ranked by completer volume and accreditation status, not by who pays us.

Disclose limits

When we don’t know something — placement rates, exact tuition, regional employer mix — we say so rather than guess.
