we've been running our dogs at CWI for years. we cleaned up after our dogs, and we've never had a problem. Now they've hired rent a cops to walk around and tell us we have to leave (sad day) you don't mind kids playing soccer and leaving trash all over the place but running dogs is frowned upon. Do better, CWI!

Great place just seemed a little to rich for my blood

As an external community member I have been to the CWI campus dozens of times so this review with reflect only that. There is also a nice garden th the back for food insecure students and people at the school. The grounds are really well kept so kudo to grounds crew. They have a lot of soccer games thats nice. Great place to walk your dog or go for a bike ride.  Also nice Frisbee golf course.  I would give 5 starts on they had water fountains.

This place could improve several aspects, the facilities are in good condition but they could improve for what they charge

About to start my 3rd semester here, and I'm excited! It's been a wild ride since January, but well worth the effort!

CWI is a great college to start at with your education.   I'm learning so much. Be good to yourself and go to College.  They have so many programs to choose from.

CWI in conclusion is affordable. The education meets expectations, teachers are helpful/colorful, classrooms are medium size like high school; so you get the student participation/feedback that assists you in your development and growth. Its a little dull but if you work, your older, or are looking for parallel education to other schools at half the  price CWI is fine. Where are the mathematicians/accountants/bright minds with the costs on this?

Putting a review in on behalf of my experience in the auto tech side of CWI. Absolute nightmare and a waste of about $10000. The instructors are unbelievably rude, lazy, and unorganized I guess you would say. I went there for about 2 1/2 total years. One instructor that I’m not gonna name because he was the only good instructor dropped down from a higher position in the school because all the staff was complaining and not actually getting stuff done. Apparently that reflected on him but nobody listened so he just stepped away from the position and let Alex take it. 2 other instructors quit during my time there. Drug testing there seemed to be a trend for testing all other ethnicities except Caucasians, 2 per class. All I’m gonna say about that sense it’s a sensitive subject. John D, needs to be fired. Called me “boy” after I nicely asked him to call me by my name “Alex” and proceeded to scream at me making a scene for the whole class over me missing the last 15 minutes of class for a once in a life time opportunity for most people. He also tried to fail me by doing everything he could to not help me catch up in class after I got extremely sick for about a week and a half and had to go to the hospital. Scott the electrical instructor. He just lectures you for literally 4 1/2 hours and makes pointless jokes that aren’t funny at all and wastes more time. CWI did acknowledge that problem and talked to the students about it but ended up doing nothing. Your last half an hour to an hour of class with Scott is hands on time with an actual vehicle and guess what? Scott usually disappears until the last 10 minutes of class because Scott has 2 jobs and doesn’t really care about his students success. The $10000 waste is all the expensive tools and that $5000 Snap On box that they basically tell the students you absolutely need even though you really don’t touch your tools all that much. And finally the timing of lying eventually gets unbearable. With the tension between John D and I he went behind my back told Alex a bunch of lies such as I’m not doing enough, I’m not being hands on, I’m missing during class, and I’m being disrespectful to him which resulted in me being set in a self made intervention because apparently to Alex instructors are always right. After the whole intervention I had to tell John D when I had to go to the bathroom and after class I had to go spend 30 minutes finding Alex to tell him one thing I learned in class today. Sounds a lot like kindergarten. This resulted in me having a bad relationship with my managers at work(auto industry job CWI told me I had to have to graduate) and losing my job for constantly being late. I also quit CWI because 2 years of being a rag doll for working my butt off eventually gets old believe it or not. Fighting through the depression and anger wasn’t worth the degree in my opinion. This was my experience at CWI and I truly hope yours is different but I would explore your options before you just throw yourself into that school.

Please be cautious if you are a non-resident. We paid all this money for out of state tuition and a year later they STILL wont give us residency status because of silly minor things. We have been living and working in Idaho for over a year now and they still refuse to give us regular rates.

I've been here for school, work classes, and technical tests. Overall it is a good school. The campus is well taken care of and the staff is very friendly. I would suggest this school if you are a canyon county resident who is trying to get through school without having to make the trip to Boise State University.

There's something definitely wrong at this school; lost paperwork, communication issues, transparency issues. Get it sorted please, CWI!

The fact that $4,591.00 of my student aid is unaccounted for makes me consider contacting the local news to bring this to peoples attention.
I hope that I'm not being ripped off.
When I communicated with other students regarding this issue I was informed that they do this as often as they can get away with it.
this is reason for concern.

When I contacted the staff and requested a list of my fees and expenses as a student, what I'm being billed for. They provided the detailed list quickly.

However when I brought the $4,591.00 which is unaccounted for to the administrations attention they failed to respond. perhaps they are having a siesta.
i will follow through with this and continue to ensure accuracy in my review.

the administration seems ok. the tuition cost is fair and the instructors are decent and knowledgeable people.
other than this issue of $4,591.00 of my student aid being unaccounted for, thousands of dollars which i will have to pay for plus interest, the school is a good start for those who wish to continue their education.

Zero,zero,zero! CWI is the most unprofessional establishment I have ever had to deal with !!!!! Beware ! After you pay your tuition of 8k plus all the extras you have to pay after words they don't have supplies to teach you. They go through teachers like "underwear" (we were abandoned by 7 teachers in 9 month of the program)  CWI hires the staff who has no idea what to do with class full of students. Or it's a teacher who is wasting your time by reading you a book word in word that you purchased for 200$.Or teacher who just talks about her personal life and giving so much TMI that you just wonder, or teacher who is calling students names, or teachers who has 0 experience in teaching...Not too mention all the problems you will run into with technical side...BY THE WAY don't wait for a respond from One stop Student or Work force development. Thank God 9 month MA program got shut down. It's a sham. it's not worth it! Take your money and run away from this place!
