Eagle Gate College Boise Campus in Boise offers a variety of facilities and services for students pursuing their education. The campus provides a fast-paced curriculum to help students succeed, while also offering resources to support their academic journey. The enrollment counselors are attentive and provide personalized assistance to help prospective students navigate the enrollment process smoothly.

Additionally, the campus is commended for being accommodating to single mothers and providing a supportive environment for students balancing various responsibilities. The institution has dedicated and helpful staff members, such as admissions counselors and recruiters, who go above and beyond to ensure that students feel supported and well-informed throughout their educational experience.

The campus facilities include a knowledgeable and supportive faculty who are dedicated to helping students excel in their studies. The instructors are particularly noted for their commitment to assisting students and providing the necessary guidance for success. However, there have been some concerns raised regarding last-minute changes to schedules, externship sites, and deadlines, which have caused frustrations for some students.

Overall, Eagle Gate College Boise Campus offers valuable resources and a supportive environment for students to pursue their education. While there have been some challenges and inconsistencies reported by students, the dedication of the faculty and staff members to student success is evident.

I had the opportunity to work directly with Zach Miller, admissions counselor over the course of the last few months to prepare me for the PN program. I have an immense amount of gratitude for his dedication and persistence through this process. He was eager to assist me, in figuring out if this program would be suitable for my life, and offered suggestions for a good school/work life balance. Zach provided great detail into the program, if there was something he didn’t he promptly got back to me with the information. I do appreciate the approach he took helping to ensure, I felt confident making this decision! I can’t wait to start this journey of nursing! This is one of those schools that the learning and teaching portion was great, but with one of the worst deans I’ve ever met. I had been in the Bachelors of Science in Nursing program back in 2020 for over a year and never failed one class. I was successful in the program until on campus instruction started. During that time I had found out I was pregnant(with a possible ectopic pregnancy). It was also during the time where lots of places were requiring the COVID vaccine. I had a meeting with the dean and my instructor and they all encouraged me to get the COVID vaccine, which to me was fine as I was not against it. That’s when I found in I was pregnant and began to rethink my decisión. I decided I did not feel comfortable getting it, and they immediately pulled me aside to question my decision. I told them I was not going to get it and that I was going to submit for the exemption and they told me it was not going to get approved regardless of me being pregnant.  The dean Xiomara Perez said to me,”You shouldn’t even be a nurse if you’re not going to get the vaccine and support science.” I was in COMPLETE SHOCK. I mean who in the hell has the right to tell someone else that they shouldn’t  be a nurse over a vaccine? Mind you my instructor was in the room the entire time listening to our conversation. I responded to the dean saying she was rude for saying that to me, but in all honesty she was a complete unprofessional, arrogant person who could careless about my feelings. After this incident happened I had some classmates reach out to me telling me that they were experiencing similar conversations with her. I even talked to one of the admission’s advisors and the MD’s I work for about the incident and they were all in complete shock. After this experience I was left thinking about how people like Xiomara failed to represent what a compassionate, open-minded, non-judge mental nurse is. Don’t go to this school. So far I could not be happier with this college. Everyone is so helpful. They have a curriculum that is fast pace and can be tough at times, but they give you the resources to be successful. He has followed up with me with phone calls and emails in a timely manner which is great but the best part is that he talks to you like you're a person. Angel treats potential students as people instead of numbers and seats needing to be filled. Angel has worked with me despite many challenges in the enrollment process to get me enrolled into the program I wanted and when that didn't work out, he went above and beyond to offer a different program to better suit my situation, answer all of my questions, and took the time to ease my anxieties about having to choose another program. He even has reached out to his colleagues to ensure that they followed up when I told him that I hadn't received a timely response. Eagle Gate College, you picked a good one with Angel! The school is great for a single mother but the process is stressful. I have been attending now since May 9th and yet to have financial aid fixed. My advisor says she will get back to me the following day and I don't hear from her till end of week at end of day. There is always something wrong with something and for someone relaying on the aid it is hard and frustrating. I never had this issue when attending Boise State is was 2 weeks and everything was answered in that same week what was needed. Not "its 30- to 60 days depending on how long their team works on your aid and any issues" Shantel Bugsby is my recruiter for EagleGate college.  She helped me every step of the way.  She continues to touch bases with me and make sure each semester, I'm set up for success.  When other potential students have a hard time, I refer them to Shantel and she helps everyone.  My time at EagleGate would be so much more challenging without this wonderful person championing me along the way. Lead you on for months throughout the process of application, making you think you will be accepted. Then tell you after waiting for months that if your accepted you have till 4pm to accept or you will lose your seat. This is so unprofessional. The recruiter who helped me really lead me to believe with my 12 years experience as a RMA that I should be a shoe in. This was not the case and after months of anxiety. I would highly recommend taking your education else where. My TEAS were high enough to get into the program, but she told me the reason I didnt make it was because they would have liked my TEAS score a little higher. Then set your requirements higher.  Dont lead people to believe they have met all your requirements just so you can turn them down. In a community hurting for Nurses. Sad for them. They have missed out on an amazing candidate. Update: The school has reached out to me to tell me I am on a back up list, that if another student doesnt accept there seat in class I could still be accepted as an alternate. This was supposed to be half online and half on campus. Covid broke out and it was switched to online. Some of our main learning was through stimulations. Most of the time these softwares were down. The instructor teaching us was very good at his job and helped us with whatever we needed to be successful. Unfortunately he had to deal with tech support most of the time to try to fix the software. During my last month there was an issue, and we had to be trained by other teachers from different states. We had to change schedules to accommodate this. Thankfully I have some training with the clinical training. Can't say the same for my classmates. There is a 70% attendance rate for the school. If you miss more than 30% you are dropped. Some students seemed to be exempt from this.

Getting last minute emails notifying me that I had to get paperwork done after they were already due. I got asked by an instructor how to sign up for my national exam. Keep in mind the school supplies the first exam fee and how to sign up. I was asked to teach the teacher how to do this. After graduating I didn't get more than a Goodluck make sure to pay your loans in the 6 months. After bringing my complaints to the Dean my main take away from our conversation was "I'm sorry, but you should have told us these problems while they were happening." The last thing, every other Eagle Gate College does a graduation ceremony. Not this one. If you are a first generation grad, you will not get to experience getting a graduation ceremony for your efforts. I give the instructor and financial advisor 5 out of 5, but the school officials a 1 out of 5. This was a very disappointing college experience.
