Eagle Gate College Boise Campus in Boise offers a variety of facilities and services for students pursuing their education. I had the opportunity to work directly with Zach Miller, admissions counselor over the course of the last few months to prepare me for the PN program. I have an immense amount of gratitude for his dedication and persistence through this process. He was eager to assist me, in figuring out if this program would be suitable for my life, and offered suggestions for a good school/work life balance. Zach provided great detail into the program, if there was something he didn’t he promptly got back to me with the information. I do appreciate the approach he took helping to ensure, I felt confident making this decision! I can’t wait to start this journey of nursing! This is one of those schools that the learning and teaching portion was great, but with one of the worst deans I’ve ever met. I had been in the Bachelors of Science in Nursing program back in 2020 for over a year and never failed one class. I was successful in the program until on campus instruction started. During that time I had found out I was pregnant(with a possible ectopic pregnancy). It was also during the time where lots of places were requiring the COVID vaccine. I had a meeting with the dean and my instructor and they all encouraged me to get the COVID vaccine, which to me was fine as I was not against it. That’s when I found in I was pregnant and began to rethink my decisión. I decided I did not feel comfortable getting it, and they immediately pulled me aside to question my decision. I told them I was not going to get it and that I was going to submit for the exemption and they told me it was not going to get approved regardless of me being pregnant.  The dean Xiomara Perez said to me,”You shouldn’t even be a nurse if you’re not going to get the vaccine and support science.” I was in COMPLETE SHOCK. I mean who in the hell has the right to tell someone else that they shouldn’t  be a nurse over a vaccine? Mind you my instructor was in the room the entire time listening to our conversation. I responded to the dean saying she was rude for saying that to me, but in all honesty she was a complete unprofessional, arrogant person who could careless about my feelings. After this incident happened I had some classmates reach out to me telling me that they were experiencing similar conversations with her. I even talked to one of the admission’s advisors and the MD’s I work for about the incident and they were all in complete shock. After this experience I was left thinking about how people like Xiomara failed to represent what a compassionate, open-minded, non-judge mental nurse is. Don’t go to this school. So far I could not be happier with this college. Everyone is so helpful. They have a curriculum that is fast pace and can be tough at times, but they give you the resources to be successful. He has followed up with me with phone calls and emails in a timely manner which is great but the best part is that he talks to you like you're a person. Angel treats potential students as people instead of numbers and seats needing to be filled. Angel has worked with me despite many challenges in the enrollment process to get me enrolled into the program I wanted and when that didn't work out, he went above and beyond to offer a different program to better suit my situation, answer all of my questions, and took the time to ease my anxieties about having to choose another program. He even has reached out to his colleagues to ensure that they followed up when I told him that I hadn't received a timely response. Eagle Gate College, you picked a good one with Angel! The instructor teaching us was very good at his job and helped us with whatever we needed to be successful. Unfortunately he had to deal with tech support most of the time to try to fix the software. During my last month there was an issue, and we had to be trained by other teachers from different states. We had to change schedules to accommodate this. Thankfully I have some training with the clinical training. Can't say the same for my classmates. There is a 70% attendance rate for the school. If you miss more than 30% you are dropped. Some students seemed to be exempt from this.

Getting last minute emails notifying me that I had to get paperwork done after they were already due. I got asked by an instructor how to sign up for my national exam. Keep in mind the school supplies the first exam fee and how to sign up. I was asked to teach the teacher how to do this. After graduating I didn't get more than a Goodluck make sure to pay your loans in the 6 months. After bringing my complaints to the Dean my main take away from our conversation was "I'm sorry, but you should have told us these problems while they were happening." The last thing, every other Eagle Gate College does a graduation ceremony. Not this one. If you are a first generation grad, you will not get to experience getting a graduation ceremony for your efforts. I give the instructor and financial advisor 5 out of 5, but the school officials a 1 out of 5. This was a very disappointing college experience.

Due to the abundance of student applicants in Northern California, discouragement began to mount. However, a friend from my LVN cohort moved to Boise to escape the demoralizing student lottery system... After her first term, she couldn't believe how amazing her instructors were; literally nothing but good things to say (who knew it was possible).  Anyhow, I followed in her footsteps and I am half-way through the program; graduation, Nov. 10, 2023. This has been one of the best decisions I have ever made!

I was extremely nervous when I started, but my teacher Christine Morgan is an amazing teacher and she put my mind at ease.
It's been a challenge but if I can make it. Anyone can make it

I am very excited to be starting school there soon.

I am attending college trying to complete my health studies so hopefully I can enroll into the hygiene program.  I struggled a bit at first and was unsure if I made the right decision by going back to school, however the staff all were very helpful and kind especially Melinda the financial aid advisor, she has helped me through so many problems not only with the financial part;  She has gone above and beyond for me.. the support really helped me feel comfortable in continuing on my classes.  I am so thankful for everyone and their help, but especially Melinda!  I am getting good grades and I am happy there is such a good team at this school that can help me throughout the rest of my education here at Carrington.

Carrington has helped me start down a career path that will be able to support my family in this insane economy. The recruiting and finical aid departments were so friendly and helpful, it only took me a week to get enrolled and financed! The online options are so helpful with my busy schedule! It’s been a wonderful experience!

The staff at Carrington are wonderful people who are dedicated to each student's success. I couldn't be happier with my decision to go back to school and I'm glad that I did it here. The massage therapy program has been a blessing for me. The environment that's been cultivated by the professor and fellow students is very supportive. I know that almost no matter what I may need help with, there's someone at campus who is willing and able to help me. I really recommend investing in the future and trusting this school to help you do so.

9/21/22 update, as I wrote a very candid review that was particularly tough towards the school, I wanted to give an update. I took the NCLEX and passed at 75 questions. I did very well on the test. Carrington has some things that they are working through. They really did a great job of preparing me for the licensing exam. Also they have new staff that are working very hard to change course from the challenges that they had. Those who are there now care very much about providing a great education and getting you to that license.

Beware. I’m currently in the beginning of my 3rd of 3 semesters of the LPN program. So far I feel like the education itself is good, but the overall experience has been fairly poor. Since the beginning we have had a 100% change out of instructors. There is not one professor here that was here when we started, and in some classes we had several during the semester. Some have come in after we started the program, and then have already left. There has also been a significant turnover of administrative staff as well. Due to such profound change out of staff our schedule has changed a great deal, often last minute. This has made it remarkably difficult to schedule work and appointments, and kids. They also fuss about things that maybe don’t matter, like visible tattoos. Another issue that we have consistently had is that assignments are supposedly due at 2359 on the day they are due. So when you look at the schedule it shows what day they are due, but not the time, because the school is headquartered in California it has caused the time to be 0059 instead. This has caused many assignments to be late or not be accepted. Lastly there are no breaks. Not for Christmas, not for spring break, not between semesters, none. While they sell it as you graduate sooner, it would be nice to have a second to catch your breath. It has also been a factor with staff, especially instructors leaving, since many would prefer a more typical teaching schedule. The school will say you get to start your career sooner, but they really just want to start more students so they can increase revenue. I would recommend exploring all of your options. You may still want to attend Carrington, but do your homework first.

If I could give this school 0 stars, I would. Coming to this school was the worst educational desicion I could have made! I'm in semester 3/3 of my LPN program, and while I'm going to finish with my head high (and pretty damn good grades still) it will be despite anything this school has done! A power struggle at the top (or so appears to us students) has left us students to fend for ourselves. Many don't even have a clinical site to go to yet and we are beginning week 2 of clinicals Monday. No consistency or direction from administration and the power struggle has resulted in a majority of our instructors leaving to other opportunities at another educational institution!

I have been here to better my education and was told that I would get help getting a job. That seems to be a lie. I have a certificate but it doesn’t seem to matter and I keep trying to get ahold of someone but no one will talk to me. I should have gone some where else

I just graduated from the LPN-RN bridge program, I had great instructors, great clinical sites and everyone was very welcoming and supportive, at times communication wasn’t the best but overall is a great School to obtain your degree. Stay focus, ask questions and get it done. Special thanks to Professor Quiroz who is not only knowledgeable but kind and caring, also Professor Graham who is very involved with students and very open to suggestions and doing her very best to teach and have us ready for the real world of nursing.

Im an MT student and I've had such a great experience going to school here. It was a little intimidating at first but with the class being so welcoming and my instructor Janelle being so supportive and encouraging gave me the confidence and determination not to quit. I love it here and I'm really excited to learn more and graduate.

I am PTA student and older learner. The level of professionals at this school are high. So far I have learned a tremendous amount of information. The staff are always on call and respond quickly to emails. Very impressed.

I attended the LPN to RN bridge program. I actually had a very good experience at this campus. The teachers are very qualified with a minimum of a master’s degree. If I ever had a question, it was always answered. Nursing school is supposed to be hard, but with the guidance of my teachers they made it possible. The teachers made time for me even outside of the classroom. Would highly recommend!

I went in for info b I'm trying to find the right college for me and they were super slick talking when they asked when I want to start me saying that I want to think about it fell on deaf ears and some how also wound up enrolled and still don't know how that happened I was so stressed from it and the phone calls and excessive emails after that my partner had to answer there call and told them I wasn't interested then they finally got the hint

I am a nurse and the education at Carrington was less than what I had hoped for my daughter.  It has some good instructors and classes, but overall, felt less and less like a place to truly find a passion in nursing.

The staff is rude, unprofessional, uncaring. Emails and phone calls are ignored, issues do not get resolved. Everyone seems to be disorganized.

The turnover for their staff is high and the quality of the teaching for the most part is poor with few exceptions. You are made to feel you are just a number and although you may be a tenured professional you are looked down on as if they are better than you.

They are quick to demand your money however when they have failed to provide you what you paid for, good luck getting a refund in a timely fashion if at all. If you are looking for a quality education with support and professionalism, look elsewhere!

I just had an encounter with a young female student of theirs wearing a pair of their gray scrubs, but what alarmed me was the way she was improperly wearing a mask and her lack of care about fixing it, the future of our healthcare is at risk as long as they take in students with a lack of care for the public

Do not take the medical assistant course with this campus. The director plays favoritism, and talks to you like you are worthless and know nothing. They don’t act like they want you to succeed. It’s extremely unorganized.

I brought my son here to have his teeth cleaned. The gal who cleaned his teeth did a great job! She was upbeat and personable and pulled my son out of his shell. He was nervous and a little grumpy when we arrived, but by the end we were all laughing. So...I won't lie...it took a long time for a cleaning...but it was free and she did an awesome job.  The best part for me though was that she took the time to coach my son on how to take better care of his teeth. :) It wasn't just her either, I saw someone near us who got the same friendly care.

The dental assistant program was wonderful! I learned so much in a short amount of time. I was able to make life long friends and I'm in a new career that I love all within 9 months!

Currently on my 2nd sem of LPN-RN nursing bridge program in the Boise campus, and so far I'm liking their program. The staff is great and very helpful. So far I highly recommend this program

I am a mother of 4 who after being out of school for 26 years decided to go back to get an education as a PTA. I looked at others schools before choosing Carrington to make sure I had the best chance at success. I have found that I made the right choice by choosing Carrington. I have been amazed on how much support I as a student receive from everyone who works there. People like Ms. Robbins in carreer services or Mr. Balanoff in the student success center, they are always there to lend a hand, read over a paper or review a resume. There is also instructors like Dr. Bird, Dr. Batty, Mr. Victor and Mrs. Whitmore who are excellent in their field and are always there to awnser all of your questions. If you are serious about your education, and want your staff to be as serious about your success Carrington is where you will find that. I feel very blessed to know each one of these people and am greatful for this amazing opportunity.

Instructors are very personable! Most lessons are hands-on! Helpful for both visual and kinesthetic learners!

I have been graduated for over a YEAR! And have not received my dental assistant certification diploma and was told by Carrington that they are with holding it until my entire student loans have been paid off! THIS IS ILLEGAL!!! Worst school of ever!

I went to this school and it’s THE worst of the worst. The staff, the program, the classes. Honestly they just want your money & won’t speak to you unless you’ve paid. Terrible communication and unwilling to respond to questions.
The teachers made me cry literally almost everyday. They are critical, mean, and pushy. They won’t assist you in clinic and will sit in the middle of the room and gossip the whole time. It’s an aweful environment if you’re falling behind  even slightly a little.
Concerning finances, It’s taken me over 3 months to get a hold of somebody. They also charged me for semesters I didn’t attend. Hardly ANY of my credits transferred and I already had a previous degree.
They don’t tell you this, but you have to have a 75 or higher in any of your transferring credits or main core classes until after you’ve signed papers. And then once you’re a senior you have to get a 90 to pass.
If you’re considering coming to the school, I would NOT recommend it. Find somewhere else

I loved the school and the teaching, and I got a job as a CMA right out of school and still work at a CMA. I recently decided to move to nursing and was sad to find out it I went to another school I could have transferred credits. So I am starting all over again for Nursing, but that was my fault for not doing research I guess!

Horrible school with terrible communication between teachers, student finance and the students. I am a former student for the LPN program and currently trying to receive my transcripts for my new college. I have been waiting to receive my transcripts for 6 weeks now. There was a hold on my account for a $98 book charge which was holding my  release of transcripts. I took care of the $98 charge and returned the book, but my hold will not come off my account because nobody knows if this is the correct book for $98! They cant see the name of the book in their system so they have been giving me the run around about how they will take care of this... I STILL do not have my transcripts! I have spoken with several people regarding this charge and nobody seems to know how to figure out if this is the correct book or not. I have spoken with Jarod Stred from student finance and he is completely incompetent and has no idea how to handle this or what to do,  I tried calling and emailing Stacey Valentine, the Regional Director of student finance and she will not email me back or return my voicemails regarding this matter. I have absolutely NO IDEA what to do at this point! I need my transcripts and Carrington will not help me obtain them. DO NOT GO TO THIS SCHOOL! Save your time and money and receive your education from true Leaders who want to see you succeed and will help you every step of the way to get there.

This has a lot to offer. Yes it's fast but worth it , I'm so glad I'm a student and will be soon a graduate student June 2018. Thank you carrington for everything. I'm one step closer to my goals in life and career ready . I did my research before and I found the right place for me Carrington College Place to be.

If I could give 0 stars I would. This school is a rip off! I paid almost 20,000 for a Medical Billing and Coding certificate when I could have gone somewhere else and gotten it for 3,000. I don't even know where to start! First off none of the people who work at the campus will respond to you when you try to reach them by phone or email. Also the instructors do a horrible job about responding to your emails when you need help in your classes! This school is a joke. I am not the only person who feels this way about Carrington if you do some research you find that there are lots of people who got ripped off and are unhappy that hey cannot get a response back from any of the staff.. This is the WORST school ever.

I have worked as a professional dental assistant for many years. These students are some of the highest quality Graduates. Their detail, care, actual work in the mouth and following instructions, and care with use of instruments, This is my 3rd or 4th year here. These are professional and sharp students doing good work in the Dental Hygiene world.

Carington college of Boise I don't recommend this school to anyone . First of all when I was trying to get my classes transferred they had told me they would take those classes and then later on told me those classes are quarter classes which won't be accepted anymore so then I had to take those classes at this school . I my self feel linda p is the worst instructor at this school because she does not allow her students to learn or ask questions after or before class doesn't matter u ask for help she will take u directly to the director and u are doomed ! U basically feel hurt and tortured . And no one cares at this school about how u feel or done feel . I don't recommend this school it's unfair .

Very difficult to get through the phone staff for a simple question.

Im only past 2 weeks and so far my experience has been horrible. First of all they sent out enrollment information stating that students will be in orientation for the 3 weeks of January and will be required on campus only 3 days out the week: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday. I signed my child up for part time daycare based on that information. On the first day of "orientation" we were informed that we will have regular classes on top of "orientation" (which is basically skill refreshments) I had to beg my child care provider who accepted another kid to take my child full time. Did Carrington college ever admitted the mistake or apologized? Ha ha of course not. So now we have overwhelming skill practice that we have to pass 100% and tests on regular classes almost every day. Disorganized and chaotic to say the least.
Linda P. is the worst instructor at that school. I had horrible experience with her and I was at school for barely 2 weeks. She is pushy and chaotic as an instructor. She doesn't allow her students to ask questions or discuss anything. During first week I was stupid enough to ask questions for the things I didn't understand and on the second week she pulled me into nursing director's office stating I'm "unfocused " because I ask questions as opposed to just listening to her and taking everything she said as golden truth. She lied about my phone usage l (stating that I'm on the phone all the time) when I used it only once after obtaining permission from her to talk to my child's doctor's office as my child was very sick. She summarized it as I am not ready for the program and should withdraw. After first chaotic week! Because of my sick child! Who already got better by the way. She's the worst instructor I've ever known and the worst human being in existence! On our first test 90%of us failed, because she doesn't teach and doesn't explain anything. Never will I recommend Carrington college in Boise just because of her. She is rude and disrespectful to her students. She gives us "why are you so dumb" look. She should never be teaching, and i am doubtful she's a good nurse herself.
Today I witnessed that obese "lady" eating chocolate cake right in front of her class. Manners, ethics, common sense and common curtesy, this woman lacks everything. Do no spend so much money just to be told you are "unfocused" because you asked her to explain something further or repeat some information you didn't catch right away. (By the way, another student quietly answered my question that time, is she going to share her salary with that student? She's not doing her job to say the least!)
Overall, they overwhelm students with "orientation" (basically skills refreshment) that we have to pass 100% on top of regular classes. We had tests/quizzes every day. They started  in January (flu-cold season) and students are not allowed to miss over 10% of the class per semester. That's 9 hours. So basically you have to be wheeled in on your death bed in order for you to stay in the program. But that's usual with many nursing schools, so no complaints there. But the quality of education when they're so chaotic and disorganized...not the best to say the least, for the amount of money we're paying them (20+k). Once again, do not recommend it, and their RN bridge program is not accredited anyway...

When I told her that Saint Lukes wouldn't hire anyone without  credentials she got mad and left the room. Also when I tried to call her she would never answer her phone or return my calls. We were left on our own and forgotten.

I saw one of the tutors trying to sort out a problem with a student having trouble understanding one of the teachers, and the teacher's responses seemed rather... impatient, angry and unprofessional. This isn't the only time this has happened, nor is it limited to just one teacher or staff member. This place isn't worth your time if you are coming here to get your GED prep. Today I walked without an appointment. So I got Cameron. What a great stylist… Best shampoo in many years. He suggested a toner as my highlights were getting faded. The teacher and he conferred and we tried a new toner from PM! It turned out so cute. After that he put in several products from the thinning hair line. The blow out made my hair have body. Then he put in a ton of little curls. He was very skilled and a pleasure to have him work on my hair. Will see him again.

Love love love Cameron! Always so friendly and does just what you want. My curls stay until washed.

I’ll say it again. Cameron is such a sweetheart. So positive and ready to do whatever I want. Need to get highlights in another month or so. Would like Cameron to do if he’s covered that in classes in another one, he made my thin hair look really great and look muc couple months.

Had Chrystan, sp?, do my hair several times. Best wash massage for my scalp. He always does the best job. He blows my hair out, not using curling irons as we are giving my thin fine hair a break. He’s going to do my root touch up in January. I can’t wait!!

We did a haircut wash n style. Chrystan cut my hair just perfect. We just did a trim. When then instructor looked at it, she said that’s a good haircut. No adjustment needed. !

Chrystan also does the best scalp massages  when washing and conditioning. I’ve booked him up for the next 2 months every week.

I have a membership at Paul Mitchell the   and it’s a great deal. Pay membership fee, (was $27 when I joined) then monthly $7 gets you unlimited style cuts and was  I love it. It also gets you a discount on other services, color, foils, nails etc.

Chrystan did a wash n style. He did such a great wash and style. We did something for more volume this week. Turned out great.

I am very picky. Being in the business on and off for almost 40 years I am impressed! I have a ton of hair cut in a pixi. I walked out with a top notch haircut!

I took my 4 kids here to get their haircut. My daughter loved it. She said "We need to come back here again." My sons don't love the haircut process itself.  However, since being home and doing their hair they have commented several times how much they love their haircuts. Be prepared for it to take a little bit longer than some places, but you'll get a quality cut.  All our haircuts turned out amazing!

It's a great school.  Never had a bad experience.  I just don't understand why we have 2 pay a $2.00 covid charge every time we go there.  I bring my own mask.  I didn't start the virus.  Why r u punishing the customers ?  You're a business.  Seems 2 me u can write off what u r spending on masks, etc.

Cheap haircuts but always overseen by quality instructors. It's great to get to know these barbers and watch them grow and practice their skills on me (skin fade usually). Just be patient as they're learning, but it's a fun experience to be a part of! Quality is no worse than low end hair places you run across...often much much better ...and the instructors are always nearby to correct/finish when someone is in over their head. I've been going every 2 or so weeks for about 7 years and the membership price is a steal. Appreciate this school so much!

Everyone has been very friendly and take their time to do the best they can.

The students are great, however I do not trust most of the instructors' judgement or competency. The students seem to have better common sense and better critical thinking than most of the instructors. On top of that, most of the instructors seemed to get irratated with the students when they are clearly incorrect thinking and the students are brave enough to challenge their thinking for the benefit of the client. Most of the instructors also give the students bad advice that lead to a terrible hair coloring and ruined hair. I wouldn't get my hair colored here anytime soon due to the lack of good instructor competent insight.

Self check in does not replace customer service. Receptionist’s should not ignore a customers presence in order to continue a “schedule” conversation with a student.

I have to brag about the work Heidi does.  Heidi is an amazing stylist and the ultimate in professionalism.  She listens to what I want, gives me options and really cares that her work meets or exceeds my expectations.  She is meticulous in her work, and I feel completely comfortable knowing that she is so good at what she does.  I appreciate Heidi for really working with what I want, and she never pushes her own vision on me (though I always ask her for her opinion).

I'm really impressed with the depth of knowledge Heidi has about all elements of being a stylist. As a Phase Two student, Heidi's education and practice requirements are very demanding, and she has certainly risen to the challenges.    Thanks for the great job you've done for me, Heidi!

Students were great, instructors seemed nice and attentive. Front desk people were friendly but would not assist/acknowledge until I initiated for check in and also for check out. I’d never been in before so I didn’t realize the check in process was done electronically until I had been standing there in front of the desk for a while without being spoken to. Overall I’d go back. :)

I have been a member of Paul Mitchel for about 3.5+ years and I wll be ending my relationship with them at the end of the year.  SO VERY HARD to get an appointment!  THEN, when I did this last time,  "someone" forgot to put me on the books, even tho I was given a time and date.  Thankfully they somehow fit me in but I was NOT very happy about that.  THEN, when I found out they have gone to a new system where they do not have cash, even funds to break a $20 to give my gal a tip!  I didn't give her a tip only because I didn't have any money for her.  PITIFUL that they can't be prepared for a situation like this, as I am very sure I am not the only one who needs to make change!  So, sorry Ella!  Ella was good and Joshua (I think) - her supervisor, was AWESOME and super jovial!  Loved him and he really seemed to know what he was doing!  That's about the only reason I gave 2 stars.  I just wished HE could have cut my hair!  I would pay regular fees for someone on the staff to cut my hair FASTER than what I normally have to go thru.  It truly is a very anxiety-riden process for me, mostly because the students take A TON OF MY TIME to learn on my head.  I am ok with it most times but when it's heading into 1.5+ hours, I just don't have that time!

So, it takes me about 3 calls to get an appointment.

Then company's new way of doing business does NOT have their client's best interest in mind.  I totally do not think what I pay for on a monthly basis is worth it, considering it may take a month to get a basic hair cut!

So, at the end of the month I plan to cancel my membership and will find another place to get my hair cut.  I sure wish I wasn't being forced to present this report.  But KUDDO's to Joshua! Great ambassador for you.  Gina Anson

I'm not sure what's going on with the salon at this school but after nine years of coming here, I doubt I'll be back. The last six to nine months I've seen and experienced alot of decline in the service (or lack thereof) and the quality of floor instructors. The implementation of no cash accepted as a form of payment and the installation of the self-serve kiosk nearly did me in. If PM thinks that gives the students "real life" experience, you're out of touch. But today's experience broke the camel's back when the student  I've been seeing for the past six months took leave and I wasn't notified. My last two of three appointments have been screwed up. I asked to reschedule for this week and the floor instructor helping me found an appointment for tomorrow. He gave me the name of the student, as I requested. I asked what level she was. He said "she's good". I said, no, what level is she? He again said "she's good". I asked again THREE TIMES and he gave me the same response. He WOULD NOT tell me what level she was. That was completely unacceptable. I used to refer folks here but no more. It's doubtful I'll be stepping foot in that building again. It's been a good ride up until 2023.

Everything was good. Natasha had cut my hair to the length I was very satisfied with. The pregnant instructor with pink hair came over to help her with my bangs. But she proceeded to cut all my hair. Taking like 1 1/2  inches more off. I was almost in tears.  It literally looked like a 5 yr old had cut it. Very jagged. I suggest that the instructor should ask the Clint if they are happy with the cut before just doing their own thing. Other than that everything went fine. My hair was to be shoulder length

Highlights are all wrong and cut isn't close to what I wanted. Really disappointed.

I took my girls here for "highlights." (NOT FULL HEAD COLOR)  The first day we spent from 12:30 PM to 7:45pm, and my daughter was crying through most of it.  Day 1, my daughter's hair stylist used over 8 cups of dye on her hair.  We said NO RED and her hair ended up looking like the skunk version of the hamburger Wendy's girl.  She left so much dye, even after telling them, it was chunked up in my daughter's hairline, ears, and neck, and she was itching the next day from it.  From the beginning, communication was nonexistent with this hairdresser, and she left my daughter almost the whole time to socialize with other people.  Because it was so bad, they braided it, and we had to come back the following day, 3.5 cups later, (11.5 total) Even after this entire disaster, waste of two of my days, I still paid over 150 for just her hair.  We are from out of town, and this virtually ruined the last two days with family.  My haircut was so bad I also had to have it redone, deep conditioned because it was so choppy, from the bad hair cut, dry and frizzy from the coloring.  My last daughter didn't get the color she asked for, but by the hours of doing it, and the other issues, I didn't have the time or desire to redo it. Although the one director was super kind and helped fix the worst hair, I am now worried about how much chemicals my developing daughter had poured on her head.  Spend the money and pay an actual stylist.  They charge the hair dressers for tuition and still charge outrageous prices to ruin good hair.  I would never go back, and strongly advise anyone else to not risk it.

Becca did an excellent job on my hair! She was quick and efficient. Not only that she was able to help me do a video call with my doctor that I had mistakenly scheduled at the same time. I really appreciate her help!

I want to Thank Lexi (the  very sweet young girl with long red hair) and her instructor Evie!! For their professionalism and patience with me when I got very anxious about my hair being cut shorter than I expected. They were awesome. I  apologize for my anxiety  and want you to know that after I got home and played with it myself, I'm very happy with my hair. 😊 Thank you, Gail.

I absolutely loved the course layout for the online classroom with in person skills week. The online class is very engaging with videos, fast responses from instructors, and clear instructions on assignments. The skills week was a perfect mix of NREMT preparation and real world experience. I learned a lot of new methods to do the skills from the instructors and all of the staff are friendly and kind. Would recommend this course to everyone interested either getting back into EMS or people starting their EMS careers.

My PALS hands-on session was well run and informative. Our instructor was knowledgeable and friendly.

I really liked the online Heartcode and in person portion (PALS). The hands on was great, and the techniques/tricks for med dosing was better than what I've been shown the last 13 years of doing this.

I loved being able to do the written portion at home and then go in for the hands on portion. The instructor was knowledgeable and had some great tips. I would highly recommend for BLS renewal.

This place has amazing instructors that are super helpful. While going the extra step to help you understand the new skills that come the AEMT and prep for the NREMT test.

I completed BLS renewal and ACLS full course. Both classes were awesome and probably the best I've had in many many years of doing both. I appreciated the instructor's using their judgement with how to administer the class, but also to make sure students understood the concepts and could also demonstrate the concepts. I would recommend their courses to anyone!

I completed the Advanced EMT self-paced course Fall of 2023. I live in Eastern Oregon, so having option to take this course online was great. I traveled to Boise for the week of skills as required. We had a great group of individuals from other rural areas as well. We had our NREMT Phyco onsite. Clinicals were very flexible. IMA was able to work with my local hospital to accommodate.

Convenient classes, realistic hands on practice, and amazing instructor. Kate was caring, thorough, and so knowledgeable. Will be continuing to get my certifications here from now on!

My experience at Idaho Medical Academy was everything I was searching for while beginning my long journey in achieving my goals of becoming a firefighter. Idaho Medical Academy is the most amazing school I've dealt with. During an extremely stressful process of 3rd party exam taking, they were wonderfully helpful and worked on solving the problem as soon as they could. Justin and Cameron were very nice and understanding during it all, and  didn't make me feel bad when calling for help.

Highly recommend for anyone needing to get re-certified for BLS. The hybrid class made this so much easier, and the hands-on portion was efficient and fun. This will be my go to for any future certifications.

I recently completed the ACLS course, and I confidently say it was an exceptional learning experience. The course was comprehensive, well-structure, and delivery by highly knowledgeable instructor. It provided a deep understanding of cardiac advance life support techniques and protocols. I found the course materials to be thorough and up-to-date, which is crucial in the field of healthcare. I just took the new Public Safety Interview Course and it was extremely helpful. I would absolutely recommend this course to anyone serious about becoming a firefighter.

IMA is a great place, very welcoming. I am taking an EMT course with Jackson and he is very good about answering questions when they arise and demonstrating and explaining things more than once and in more ways that way we all can understand. Also, he is friendly and makes jokes all the time. I also just took my BLS cert class with Kate and loved how she got straight to the point and was very helpful with corrections and feedback. I have been CPR certified every year for the last 10 years and I haven’t had a better BLS instructor than Kate. She was very friendly and I would 10/10 recommend to take a course with IMA or even just get CPR certified as it is something that may seem like just a card but it is one of the most important skills that you can ever learn and you don’t have to have it just to be apart of EMS, it is helpful for knowing what to do when someone is choking or going into cardiac arrest. Anyways, I highly recommend IMA!!

I would highly recommend taking the HeartCode BLS Course through IMA! This course combines online training and one hands on skills session, and our hands on instruction with Kate was top notch. The equipment we used for training was well maintained and high tech enough to give us feedback on rate and quality of compressions, and I feel more confident in my CPR skills than ever before. I am not a medical professional and took the class to gain this life skill. The instructors are very informed and helpful. By the end of the class I was very confident in my level of knowledge and ability to carry out this service if called upon.

IMA was a fantastic program for anyone looking to enter the field of EMS! I’d previously completed my NREMT exam several years previously, but had let my certification lapse. IMA was the better of the programs, and thoroughly taught both the academic and practical sides of EMT knowledge!

I just wrapped up the self paced EMT course. I was not blown away by presentation of the content. The modules/resources had copious amounts of spelling mistakes. Multiple online quizzes had mistakes on correct answers. Some instructors were fired up and passionate, while others just covered the bare minimum. Communication about pre-skills week requirements (HAZMAT, immunizations requirements, VR training, etc) was not well structured. Ultimately I read the textbook cover to cover and that was great, but the self paced IMA content did not supplement my learning to the degree that I was hoping for. I enjoyed the in-person skills week, however I believe the in-person portions could be condensed into a shorter period.

Excellent instructors! We learned a lot and laughed a lot too. Very enjoyable and interactive. The facility is clean, equipment is very well maintained and up to date, and the comfortable classroom made a long day feel shorter :)

I took the EMT course with Roger Sherman as my instructor. I kid you not, Roger is hands down the best instructor I have ever had in all my years of school. 13/6 recommended taking a course here at IMA!!

I just finished my self paced  EMT course through IMA and I'm very happy. Chris, Hunter, Trent and all the other instructors(sorry I can't remember every ones name) where very helpful and a lot of fun. The online class was suprising  easy to navigate and the skills week was a blast . Thanks guys.

I needed to take a BLS/HCP class and I needed to do it quickly for a job I had just been hired for.  I was pleasantly surprised to see how often the course is offered at the Idaho Medical Academy.  The class i was in was kept to a small number, so everyone could be given great one-on-one attention. And as a former paramedic, I can attest to the quality of the instruction and equipment used in teaching. Great instructor, great experience. Thanks.

This school is not good all of their healthcare instructors have left as the management did not provide the instructors with the necessary supplies or access to supplies. This school does not have the students best interest in mind. They just want to take your money.

It’s been brought to my attention that Idaho medical academy has recently used my photo for advertisement of an upcoming phlebotomy class. I attended IMA in 2020 under Donnas instruction and she was amazing. After hearing of the circumstances of Donnas leaving IMA I do not support this school. While using my photo to advertise the class is not wrong, blocking me on all your social media accounts so I cannot even see the post that my photo is used in is extremely dishonest and sketchy. I know I have recently been blocked because I cannot search or find IMAs social media accounts now when just a couple weeks ago I was able to. I used a friends account to confirm that they can find the social media accounts but that I cannot. Do better IMA. Not professional at all.

I will take my CPR again here. The instructors were nice and helpful. The environment was good so you can focus on study. They explained for you if you don’t understand. I love this place.

It was different! I am use to taking a CPR and First aid class that teaches the ABC's. Muhammad's class had me confused because I couldn't keep the steps in sequence. It was a good experience and I definitely left feeling like I saved a life. I would take it again, but I would keep in the back of my mind the ABC's of CPR.
