Externally, Academic Affairs is the point of contact with the University System of Maryland (USM) and, through USM, other regulatory and legislative bodies on issues relating to faculty affairs, student affairs, and academic policy. Internally, it is the point of contact with the University’s six professional schools — dentistry, law, medicine, nursing, pharmacy, and social work — on faculty and student affairs and academic policy. It also provides traditional faculty and academic services.
