learned so much and progressed my career RRFC is great! I just completed my Audio Engineering course and there is a dramatic difference on how my music sounds. Man, when I first began this endeavor it was borne out of pure, absolute Love for radio and my desire to perform and replicate some of what I heard from all the DJs I would hear growing up, AND what I could hear in my head, as an awesome radio show.

To be perfectly honest, I had barely any of the technical proficiency necessary for a successful radio career. A self-regarded "old school"  listener of all things rock n roll, I thought about soundboards, LPs and levers, boom mics and cool DJ names like Wolfman Jack.

After enrolling in RRFC I became aware almost immediately that those ideas conjured up in my head were of a by-gone era. (Insert fear and trepidation here).

However, once I got placed and situated with my mentor and academic facilitator, I began to realize, with their real-world knowledge and support, that I could actually make a go at this lifelong dream of being a disc jockey.

Upon introduction, Craig and I embarked on what now could be called an intriguing and rewarding, friendly, professional mentorship. He and I, when speaking, would cover a variety of topics from everyday life, radio and technical subjects ,to cadence and repetition, thus becoming fast friends. Without his unwavering support and encouragement, I seriously doubt this conversation would be happening right now. With Craig's mentoring and his over 30 years experience in the field of broadcasting, I have achieved my goal of acquiring and learning the skills necessary to become a successful broadcaster. And I'm still learning!

Next up,my man Alex.

Alex Torres, is and was, my sound genius. If you ask him about it we'll both laugh, but I could barely operate my pc let alone the software necessary to produce anything viable for the airwaves. But under his tutelage I was able to overcome my anxieties and apprehensions and allow myself to be taught. Now I operate completely aware of my technical prowess because of Alex. A true professional and someone I also became friends with throughout our journey together.

Big thanks to Alex as well.

RRFC has given me the technical chops, a challenging curriculum, and these two guys, to go along with the vast amount of broadcasting and technical expertise they both possess to enable me to do what comes inherent to me.

I would recommend to anybody that's held a lifelong dream of being in broadcasting to check out RRFC.

Being able to work hands on with a mentor, both online AND in a real studio every week really accelerated my growth and learning. I was able to clear up questions I had and get in depth answers I could understand better in relation to my own way of learning, rather than searching on Google or YouTube. I really appreciate how well put together the course textbook was as well, giving me the foundation knowledge I was looking for. I feel well prepared and excited for my future after finishing this course! It’s really interesting.  The key for me has been to listen, take notes, write it down, go back to it and let it sink in, and practice, practice, practice, practice.
