Founded in 1985 as a small travel school for the booming travel industry, Alaska Career College (then called Travel Academy) quickly established itself as a significant center of education for the State of Alaska. As new industries developed the school met employer needs head-on, and ten years later Travel Academy became Career Academy, offering education in areas such as Medical Assisting and Business & Computer Technology. On November 18, 2011, this Alaskan-grown institution became a recognized college. Now offering both degree and certification programs, ACC or Alaska Career College has been a launchpad for professionals in various industries globally.
